Goodbye Winter!!!! Hello Basement???
Just because the ice has finally cracked in Minnesota doesn’t mean we’re packing up the Road Machine and actually riding the road. Come on. We ride inside. There’s months of bare basement wall staring to be done, at least a couple of weeks of climbing without actually climbing the stairs left in us all. But hey, we make trainers. We love trainers. If you’ve really got to get outside and go, just go. We’ll understand. Just make sure to come back.
Truth is the spring and summer months at Kurt Kinetic are just as busy as any other. We’re chasing orders and shipping product just as soon as the dew point clicks up in any hot spot where a bike nut needs a ride but doesn’t need the burn.
It’s also fun time. That means R+D. Or in other words, crazy product ideas bouncing around and prototypes walking off the test floor. Summer is when we invented the Rock and Roll, the truest road-like ride around and then took it home to ride it all winter long. There are some cool things coming down the pike for the 09 season but if we told you we’d have to kill you. Well maybe not quite – but it’d blow our wad for sneak peak posts coming up.
Check out this guy talking of riders. Crank Armstrong, the newest member of the Kurt Testing Team. He can ride a bike and trainer for 96 continuous hours of riding (almost 2300 miles) without showing signs of wear on rider, bike or trainer. Try doing that in your basement and see how it treats you …
