The Indoor Ride

Monday, November 10th, 2008

So now we’re into the indoor riding season – it’s easy to stay motivated the first few rides, but let’s face it; riding indoors can become tedious quickly. Plan to stay motivated to ride inside by taking these easy steps:

1. Set a goal and write it down

- how frequently you will ride – every day? every other day? what time of day?

- the duration of the ride – how long will you be in the saddle?

- the type of ride – break it up, intervals one day, distance the next

2. Log your results – that’s right – after identifying your goals, it’s important to show that you have accomplished them!

3. Ride with a group – yup – invite your road warrior friends over. Set up your trainers and get down to what you love to do best – ride!

4. Try the New 27.0 Threshold Test and Suffer Fest from Coach Troy Jacobson. This is an amazing workout

5. Don’t quit! Even if you don’t want to get on the bike – do. you need to. and when you are done, you will be glad you did.
