Kelly Benefit Strategies Brings Triple Threat to Redlands

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Jonas Carney’s 2009 Kelly Benefit Strategies squad heads to the Redlands Classic this weekend with one of it’s strongest line ups ever. The team moves west with an A-list roster that includes former Redlands Overall winner Andrew Bajadali, KOM jersey winner and new addition Jake Erker plus 2007 rainmaker Alex Candelario, pivotal in Bajadali’s win two years ago.

You can pedal but you can’t hide! : NVGP

You may think you can blend in or hide in the crowd at a bike race. But a trainer head sticks out sharper than a fair-weather rider on the first climb of the year. Believe me, among the power bar companies hawking samples, crazy fans up lampposts and a hefty percentage of locals wondering just what the hell they’re watching, we see you. Maybe it’s the look of long winters fighting the clock in the basement or garage, or the unspoken air of sprint superiority. Then again it’s probably because you come and find us and bug us.

But we like that. So do it again this week.

Kurt Kinetic is on the road again – this time at the Nature Valley Grand Prix, Minnesota’s biggest and best pro cycling throw down. Starting Wednesday, we’ll be at every stage of the race in the expo area (you can’t miss the lime green) with our latest trainers hooked up and a ton of virtual reality courses to ride while the pro’s screech by. Come and find us at any stage of the race but make sure to stop by for the Minneapolis Downtown Classic. The racing will be cool and we’re strategically set up as close to the Local Irish Pub as seemed appropriate (couldn’t get the bike and trainer through the door. We tried, of course).

So see you there: downtown St. Paul on Wednesday, Cannon Falls Thursday, Minneapolis Friday, Mankato Saturday and Stillwater on Sunday. And bring your power bar samples our way. It’s a long week; we’re going to need them.
