The Kinetic Rock and Roll Trainer is getting traction and appearing all over Europe now. La Bicicletta magazine features the trainer in an extensive review in their December 2012 issue. Whether you read Italian or not, it’s worth downloading the article to see all the great photos. It’s clear the editors really scrutinized the trainer and put it through the paces. Our Italian distributor tells us it’s a great review. Thanks La Bicicletta!

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (September 13, 2011) – Kinetic By Kurt announced today that the Rock And Roll trainer has received a 5-stars and the “Best On Test” rating in Cycling Plus magazine’s October 2011 issue Road Test of 14 stationary trainers and rollers.
Cycling Plus called the Rock And Roll trainer “the most enjoyable trainer on test and the best for replicating road riding.” And said “the fact that you can get out of the saddle and really go for it and almost feel like you’re on the road is a big plus.” The magazine also gave the trainer high marks for its unique lateral movement and superb construction quality.

National Sales Manager Pam Sayler was at the Mall of America to loan Kinetic trainers to local bike shops participating in The Lifestyle Bike Experience in the mall’s Best Buy rotunda March 18 – 20. The event, hosted by HaveFunBiking.com, demonstrated to shoppers that biking can be fun, easy and safe. The message was to encourage people to use their bicycles for commuting purposes, to promote environmentally-friendly living and to burn a few extra calories.
Giant Pro trials rider, Chris Clark, also showed off his trials and stunt-riding skills as he rode ramps and other stunts to the delight of the Mall-of-America crowds.

Student athletes rode trainers at the 2010 NICA Awards.
We’re proud to announce our new partnership with the National Interscholastic Cycling Association. NICA is the National Governing Body for grades 9-12 interscholastic mountain biking. The aim of NICA is to foster the development of high quality competitive cross-country mountain biking programming for high school-aged athletes.
Kinetic will have a presence at each of the events in each of the participating states, with a warm up tent with several trainers set up for athletes to freely use. We are also providing a trainer to each of the participating teams within each of the State leagues.
We’re excited to be involved at such a grass-roots level in cycling and even more excited to help high school kids discover the joy of riding and racing mountain bikes!
For 2011 there are leagues of varying sizes in 5 States including: California, Colorado, Texas, Washington and Minnesota. The organization is really amazing and far too vast to detail here. We really encourage everyone to check out the NICA site and learn more about their programs. Click here
We finally had the opportunity to catch up with “Powered by Kinetic Rider” Lars Sternberg of the Transition Factory Race Team out at Interbike this year. He showed up at the booth with Transition Bikes owner Kyle Young and rode the Rock and Roll trainer and told us how much he loved his Kinetic Road Machine. These guys are a top gravity team and they spend a lot of time on their trainers. Lars told us he warms up for every race on his trainer, often staying on until just a few minutes before his start time. Currently sporting a cast on his hand and wrist, he also said that the trainers are critical for maintaining form when you have an injury that takes you off the road or out of the woods for an extend period.
In their September 2010 issue, the UK’s Cycling Active magazine reviews 7 trainers and gives the Kinetic Road Machine high marks for its resistance unit saying, “the ride feel offered by the unique flywheel and fluid unit is exceptionally smooth, and realistic.” We also received high marks for our bike-mounting system and super-stable frame and a tie for overall test winner.
